4th Grade Update

Fourth Graders have wrapped up our first Unit of Inquiry, How We Express Ourselves and will be digging into our second Unit of Inquiry, How The World Works. We will be inquirers as we use our research skills to ask and answer questions to learn how plant and animals’ systems and environment impact survival. We will also be balanced as we use our self-management skills to organize our research to write Choose-Your-Own Adventure stories.

We’ve continued to expand our fraction knowledge by identifying and finding equivalent fractions, comparing fractions, and adding and subtracting fractions.

As first quarter came to an end, we began our second line of inquiry in our Who We Are unit. We spent the week learning how to be open-minded to other’s perspectives as we analyzed how we are all different.

Fourth Graders also voted for Golden Stowies for the month of September (Caring & Open-Minded) and will be voting for October Golden Stowies (Principled) soon!
