In 2005, I participated in Camp Adventure through the University of Northern Iowa. This program sent me to Tokyo Japan, to be a volunteer preschool teacher on Yokota Air Force Base. After my time in Japan, I moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa, and became a Kindergarten/1st grade looping teacher. I spent 8 years in the Lewis Central School District before moving to the Des Moines area. This is my third year at Stowe and I am very excited to be here!

My hopes and dreams for students this year is for them to embrace their differences and celebrate diversity, so that we can build a classroom community that is a place where all ideas are heard and valued. I want my students to know that one person CAN make a difference in this ever changing global society.
